We have had a few false starts at making plans to make the car park area worthy of the rest of the park, but we are glad that Rebecca Imber, Area Manager, Chester City Council, is now leading the project. Her first step is to give local people a chance to have their say.
We want a design that will make a statement and be worthy of the park. We have to bear in mind that there are a few big occasions, like Hallowe'en, when we need extra parking on the meadow; at the same time any improvement should discourage unwelcome overnight visitors.
